Finding the right words of expression is not always easy. Creative engagement with the arts provides the opportunity to express, heal, and explore yourself on a deeper subconscious level.
Communicating through art, music, or gardening is especially beneficial for those who experience difficulty vocalizing traumas or painful experiences.
Emotions are not always perfect and pretty,
so why should our art be?

NEUROSCIENCE
Expressive engagement actually has the ability to change your brain! By engaging in art-making within a safe therapeutic relationship, you can create neural pathways that will help you to connect with yourself and others, it can even help you achieve healthier behaviors!
who
i
work with
I work with all, but I have specialized my work for people with neurodivergence, intersecting identities, and those from an international background (refugee, student, expat).
My primary demographics are immigrant cisgendered women with ADHD, BIPOC people with ADHD, and LGBTQ+ individuals who are neurodivergent and live a nomadic lifestyle.
I am a digital nomad, having lived and studied in the US, UK, Australia, Sweden, and Germany! I know what it is like to be on the move and all the stress, loneliness, and fear that can come with that, so anyone who has experienced a similar way of life (whether by choice or by conflict) is especially welcome.
finding materials you connect with
Our sessions may not include any art making at all! But just in case, in the free consultation, we will discuss what art materials you have access to. I encourage you to explore various materials and new styles of art. This is a therapeutic space that is not about artistic rules or aesthetics.
